Position:          Human Resources Manager

           

Reports to:      CFO & Senior Director of Operations

 

Job Function: Responsible for overseeing and executing core Human Resources operations, employee relations, compliance, and training functions across the organization.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Administers and executes human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; and occupational health and safety.
  • Participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Provides guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
  • Develops, coordinates, and facilitates training programs to support leadership development, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensures hiring and onboarding practices remain compliant and consistent across all locations.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as directed.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • SHRM- CP or SCP a plus.
  • Minimum of five to seven years of progressive HR experience, preferably supporting multi-location operations or an employee population of 300+.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
